Admissions
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA-MS Programme is a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary/Pre-degree examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
However the admission to the MS programme will be at the discretion of the school of graduate studies, SUNY Buffalo.Hence the admission to the MS programme will be finalized by SUNY Buffalo.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor’s degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before 30th June 2009. Such candidates will however have to fulfill the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by 31st October 2009. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they are required to produce a letter from their college Principal/Head of Institution stating the examination dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will have an added advantage for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Test:
- All candidate seeking admission to Amrita’s MBA programme at Bangalore should have appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Institute of Management (IIM) in November 2008.
- NRIs and Foreign Nationals are required to take the GMAT test.
- It is mandatory to have a TOEFL score, the cut-off score being 79 for IBT and 550 for PBT and 213 for CBT.
